Local Alert Weather – Mon. PM

KTVZ

Happy Monday evening, everyone!

The system to our east has helped clear our skies and we’re seeing ‘good’ air quality levels across Central Oregon. Skies are continuing to clear as clouds break up overhead. Breezes will gust around 25 miles per hour. Temperatures will cool quickly tonight as we don’t have many clouds overhead.

Lows will be in the lower 30s in Sunriver and La Pine, so cover up any outdoor plants you might be concerned about. Lows for the rest of Central Oregon will be in the mid to upper 30s. We’ll be off to a cool start tomorrow morning!

We’ll quickly warm into the 70s by noon with sunny skies overhead. We could see a little haze from fires burning to our north tomorrow, but overall we’ll see a sunny day. Highs will top out right around average in the upper 70s and lower 80s. Winds will gust around 10 miles per hour out of the north tomorrow.

High pressure builds in briefly which will give us warmer temperatures and some sunny skies. Wednesday will be our warmest day of the week with highs into the mid to upper 80s.

Winds will kick up Wednesday as the next system pushes its way into the region — cooler air and some clouds arrive Thursday as a result. We’ll see winds gusting around 25 miles per hour. Some haze and smoke is expected by the middle of the week.

Looking ahead to Labor Day weekend we’ll see temperatures right around average in the mid to upper 70s and lower 80s. Sunshine is expected.
