Local Alert Weather, Mon. AM, 9.10.18
Good Monday Morning, Everyone…
A storm center that has locked down over the central British Columbia coast is responsible for rotating some cold, wet air into the Pacific NW today. While Central Oregon skies will remain mostly sunny with only a slight chance of an isolated shower, the coast, valley and mountains will see rain. The summit of Mt. Bachelor may see its first snowfall of the season! Highs here will be around 70 with gusty NW winds at 10-20 mph. Mostly clear tonight with lows in the 30’s. NW winds will become much lighter after sunset.
That draw of cold air will continue and we will see daytime highs only reach the mid 60’s through the middle of the week. Our best chance of showers will be Wednesday and Wednesday night. Overnight lows will be in the 30’s with some areas dipping below freezing. We will get some clearing going into the weekend when temps will return to something a little more normal for this time of year.
