A 19-year-old Sisters resident was arrested Tuesday afternoon, accused of extensively damaging a home, throwing rocks at parked cars and taking items in several car break-ins earlier in the day, Deschutes County sheriff’s deputies said.

Deputies and Black Butte Ranch police officers responded shortly before 4 p.m. Tuesday to several calls from citizens regarding a reported domestic dispute at a home in the 500 block of East Jefferson Avenue in Sisters, sheriff’s Sgt. Grant Johnstone said.

When officers and deputies arrived, they contacted Noah Gabriel Kirshner outside the home, Johnstone said.

An investigation determined that Kirshner had caused extensive damage to a home and had been throwing rocks at vehicles, the sergeant said. In addition, property in his possession tied him to several vehicle break-ins reported in the Sisters area Tuesday morning

Kirshner was arrested and taken to the county jail in Bend, where he was lodged on one count of first-degree criminal mischief, one count of second-degree theft and eight counts of unlawful entry into motor vehicles.

Kirshner remained held without bail Wednesday on a probation violation and revised charges that included two counts of first-degree criminal mischief and one count each of first-degree theft and unlawful entry into a motor vehicle.

Kirshner appeared in court Wednesday on the district attorney’s initial charging document, one count of first-degree criminal mischief. He is due back in court Oct. 3 for arraignment on an expected formal indictment.

Court records show Kirshner was arrested and indicted last month on seven counts, including theft and unlawful entry into a motor vehicle.

Prosecutors filed a motion Wednesday asking judge to revoke Kirshner’s release for violating its conditions.

In an accompanying statement, the arresting officer said Kirshner’s backpack and wallet had items reported missing in seven car clouts earlier in the day. He said Kirshner said the stolen drivers’ licenses were intended for his friends to make fake IDs. Kirshner was arrested without incident.
