Redmond street closures, delays: Week of Nov. 5-9
Here’s the city of Redmond’s planned street closures and delays for the week of Nov. 5-9:
City Street Maintenance Operations:
Monday, November 5 thru November 9 – The following traffic disruptions will take place:
Monday, November 5 – Starting at 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., NW Maple Ave/NW Rimrock Dr
The intersection of NW Maple Ave and NW Rimrock Dr will be reduced to one lane with flagging operations for repair of cross walk legends from 7:30 a.m. thru 12:00 p.m. on Monday. Traffic delays and disruptions will occur.
Monday, November 5 thru November 9 – Starting at 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., SW Helmholtz Ave from SW Wickiup Ave to SW Quartz Ave
Mowing operations will be commencing along SW Helmholtz Ave from SW Wickiup Ave to SW Quartz Ave on Monday from 8:00 a.m. thru Friday at 4:00 p.m. A shadow vehicle will be present to slow traffic. Traffic disruptions will occur.
Wednesday, November 7 thru November 9 – Starting at 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., NE Hemlock Ave at the Railroad Crossing
The east side of the rail crossing on NE Hemlock Ave will be reduced to one lane with intermittent flagging to allow for equipment access. Curb and gutter installation will occur from 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday thru 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Traffic delays and disruptions may occur.
NOTE – During street maintenance operations, closure durations and disruptions are determined by progress of the operation and weather conditions.
***NEW Closure:
SW Metolius Ave from SW 23 rd St to SW 27 th St – Closed for construction Thursday, November 8 starting at 7:00 a.m. thru Friday, November 23
SW Metolius Ave from SW 23 rd St to SW 27 th St will be closed while Rickabaugh Construction crews install sewer and water lines. Local access for residents will be permitted from SW 27 th St.
Ongoing Closures:
South Canal Improvement Project – South Canal Blvd is closed between Veterans Way and SW Salmon Ave. Local access is permitted.
Scheduled Activities for the week of November 5 thru November 9:
North Section ( SW Canal Blvd to SW Salmon Ave )
— SW Canal Blvd from SW Veterans Way to SW Salmon Ave will remain closed for construction activities. Local residents and businesses will have access. Please use detours or an alternate route.
— SW Obsidian Ave remains closed from SW Canal Blvd to SW 12th St. Local access will be permitted from the west on SW Obsidian Ave via SW 15th St. No access will be permitted onto SW Obsidian Ave from South Canal Blvd.
The improvement project completion date is set for April 2019. Sections of South Canal Blvd will be closed temporarily during construction, but local access to area homes and businesses will remain open. Weekly project updates can be found online at https://www.southcanalblvd.org/.
