KTVZ

The Glen Gives, an all-volunteer organization working under the umbrella of Bend Northwest Non-Profit Corporation, is proud to announce that in the last 15 years, they have raised over $1 million, all of which was used to help over 1,700 Central Oregon families.

Unique to The Glen Gives, 100% of donations go toward the working poor of Central Oregon. heir goal is to promote family financial self-sufficiency and stability.

Back in 2004, The Glen Gives started as an all-volunteer fundraising organization by the members of the Awbrey Glen Golf Club in Bend. The focus was, and still is, to help the working poor of Central Oregon. They partner with local social service agencies to fill essential family needs.

The year 2018 has been the 15th anniversary for the organization. At their “Thanks a Million” event on Sept. 9, The Glen Gives raised $92,000, which surpassed their million-dollar goal. The organization has been working diligently with 8 local social service agencies in the community, to give it all away this year.

The Glen Gives helps by keeping families working through purchasing car repairs or tires to get people to work, paying for day care, uniforms; and helping families avoid homelessness with rent or mortgage payments, rental deposits, payment of utilities, home repairs, etc. Often families hit one bump in their financial road and are derailed with bad credit making everything else in their lives vastly more difficult.

As The Glen Gives begins its 16th year, they are looking for corporate partners to assist in the mission to help the working poor of Central Oregon. Come and join their team!!

All donations are tax deductible, to the extent of the law, through the Bend Northwest Non-Profit Corp. (501-c(3).
