Redmond road closures, delays: Week of Nov. 12
Here is the city of Redmond’s list of road closures and delays for the week of Nov. 12-16:
City Street Maintenance Operations:
Monday, November 12 thru November 16 – The following traffic disruptions will take place:
Monday, November 12 thru November 13 – Starting at 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., SW Evergreen Ave from SW 6 th St to SW 7 th St
SW Evergreen Ave will be reduced to one lane with flagging operations while SunWest Builders performs construction activities for the New Redmond Hotel. Traffic delays and disruptions will occur from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday.
Tuesday, November 13 – Starting at 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., NW 15 th St from NW Spruce Ave to NW Spruce Pl
NW 15 th St will be closed to through traffic from NW Spruce Ave to NW Spruce Pl from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for Holiday Tree removal and loading. Please use detours or an alternate route.
Tuesday, November 13 thru November 15 – Starting at 7:30 a.m., U-turn curve between NW 5 th St and NW 6 th St (North “Y”)
The U-turn curve between NW 5 th St and NW 6 th St (North “Y”) will be closed for sidewalk improvements and connections starting at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 15 th . Please use alternate route.
Tuesday, November 13 thru November 16 – Starting at 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Mobile shoulder maintenance will be occurring at non-curb areas throughout the City. Flagging operations and traffic disruptions may occur daily from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
NOTE – During street maintenance operations, closure durations and disruptions are determined by progress of the operation and weather conditions.
Ongoing Closures:
SW Metolius Ave from SW 23 rd St to SW 27 th St – Closed for construction Thursday, November 8 thru Friday, November 23
SW Metolius Ave from SW 23 rd St to SW 27 th St will be closed while Rickabaugh Construction crews install sewer and water lines. Local access for residents will be permitted from SW 27 th St.
South Canal Improvement Project
Scheduled Activities for the week of November 12 thru November 16:
SW Veterans Way to SW Obsidian Ave
South Canal Blvd from SW Veterans Way to SW Obsidian Ave will remain closed for construction activities. Please use detours or an alternate route.
SW Obsidian Ave to SW Pumice Ave
South Canal Blvd from SW Obsidian Ave to SW Pumice Ave will remain closed while pavement markings and permanent sign installations occur. South Canal Blvd from SW Obsidian Ave to SW Pumice Ave is anticipated to open Friday, November 16.
SW Pumice Ave to SW Salmon Ave
SW Pumice Ave to SW Salmon Ave will remain closed for stormwater piping, curb installation, and construction activities. Local residents and businesses will have access. Please use detours or an alternate route.
The improvement project completion date is set for April 2019. Sections of South Canal Blvd will be closed temporarily during construction, but local access to area homes and businesses will remain open. Weekly project updates can be found online at https://www.southcanalblvd.org/.
