Local Alert Weather – Mon. PM

Happy Monday evening, everyone!

We saw temperatures a little below average as we were off to such a cold start this morning. This evening we’re seeing our temperatures fall quickly. Overhead we’ll see mostly clear to partly cloudy skies. Patchy freezing fog is likely to develop this evening for many low lying elevations or areas near bodies of water.

Overnight with some patchy freezing fog and partly cloudy skies we’ll see cold lows in the teens and lower 20s. Winds will be calm and we’ll likely see air quality index levels dip down to ‘moderate’ from ‘good’. As high pressure sits overhead the air won’t be moving much.

Tomorrow begins with partly cloudy skies and some areas of fog. Under these areas of fog know the ground will likely be slick as frost will develop. Temperatures will be in the teens and 20s, so you’ll want to allow yourself some extra time to get the car ready.

High pressure stays in control of our weather pattern, but a new system moving in on Wednesday will help clear out most of the fog and air. We’ll still be left with hazy conditions and some patchy freezing fog to the north.

Wednesday will see highs in the mid to upper 50s, which is above average. Our average daytime high is 50 in Redmond. Highs will stay in the mid to upper 50s through the end of the week. We’re still looking VERY dry through the extended forecast.

Looking at the weekend ahead we can expect to see variable clouds and daytime highs slightly above average in the low to mid 50s. At this time we will stay dry.
