Madras shelter urges donations to help Calif. animals in need

KTVZ

Three Rivers Humane Society in Madras has reached out to their followers and supporters to help the hundreds of animal victims of the devastating Camp Fire in Paradise, California.

On their Facebook page, they have posted the following:

“Three Rivers supporters and fans, its time for us to reach out to a shelter in desperate need. The Butte Humane Society has been overwhelmed by the innocent victims of the Camp Fire in Paradise, California. Homeless, injured, and displaced animals are in dire need of food, medical supplies, and so much more. It is estimated that 90% + have lost their homes and we want to help the animals affected by this disaster. Please go to http://buttehumane.org/donate/. There is a place to leave a comment with your donation, please say it’s from you and Three Rivers Humane Society!”

Even though we depend on donations to help fund our non-profit animal rescue, there are times when it’s more than appropriate and necessary to share with others in serious need. Three Rivers Humane Society knows very well what financial stress from an unforeseen tragedy or event can place on tight budgets. Others have reached out to us in our time of need, now it’s time for us to give back.

So many animals have been displaced and injured, and the Butte Humane Society, as well as other local rescue operations have been inundated with the need for food, medical supplies, crates, collars, leashes, and so much more. We are confident our generous supporters will also step up in this desperate time of need.
