Local Alert Weather – Tues. PM

KTVZ

Happy Tuesday evening, everyone!

Tonight we’re seeing ‘good’ to ‘moderate’ air quality across Central Oregon. Pollutants are falling closer to the surface due to high pressure. Tonight we’ll see mostly clear to partly cloudy skies. Some areas in low lying elevations or those closer to bodies of water will see patchy freezing fog develop. Temperatures for overnight lows will be in the 20s.

Tomorrow begins on a warmer note than we saw for today. We’ll see mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies all day. Highs will peak in the mid to upper 50s once again.

A brief, weak system pushes through the forecast area tomorrow. This will bring more clouds our way by the second half of the day and help to freshen up our air. The system; however, will break apart as it moves across the Cascades and we are not expecting mountain snow out of it.

Thursday and Friday will see mostly sunny skies with hazy, smoky conditions likely once again. We’ll see highs still above average in the mid to upper 50s.

A cold front moves through overnight Friday into Saturday. Again, we’re looking to stay dry. We’ll see breezy conditions at times on Friday and Saturday as the disturbance moves east.

Saturday sees the cooler air behind the cold front. Daytime highs will have a tough time making it out of the 40s. We’ll see partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies and dry conditions.
