Thursday PM Local Alert Weather Forecast
Happy Thanksgiving Central Oregon!
It was a cool and rainy day across the High Desert and some snow up in the Cascades as well.
If you are heading over the mountains in the next few days, you can expect winter driving conditions and between 5 and 10 inches of new snow at the pass level. Santiam Pass is already seeing snowy conditions.
Snow levels have dropped to around 4,500 feet and they are expected to stay there as we head into the weekend before this system breaks down.
Today we saw temperatures top out in the 40s for much of the region.
Overnight tonight another cold one with lows dipping down into the low 30s and winds will be out of the south at 10-15 MPH and gusting up around 25 MPH.
We can expect a slick morning tomorrow and a chance of snow showers in the upper elevations overnight and into tomorrow morning.
Things are going to stay cool and breezy out there for us as this storm system continues to push across the region.
This system looks to start to break up around Saturday, but then their is a chance that we could see some more showers heading into the start of next week.
Enjoy your Thanksgiving Central Oregon!
