More Camp Fire relief efforts brewing in C. Oregon

More California fire relief efforts are brewing in Central Oregon.

The Camp Fire in Northern California displaced 10 percent of the Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. workforce. On Nov. 27, what’s called Giving Tuesday, Sierra Nevada will start brewing the Resilience Butte County Proud IPA.

One-hundred percent of beer sales will go to the Camp Fire relief fund.

Now it’s asking breweries across the country to follow suit. More than 400 breweries have pledged to make the exact same recipe.

Worthy Brewing, Immersion Brewing and Boneyard Beer are just a few of the breweries in Central Oregon joining the cause.

“We were heartbroken by the tragedies in Northern California, with the wildfires all throughout California,” Boneyard General Manager Jonathan Avella said.

“We just wanted to help in some way. Being a brewery, we figured making a beer and donating the proceeds was the best way to do it.”

The beer will likely be available on tap in late December.
