Redmond road closures, delays: Week of Nov. 26
Here is the city of Redmond’s road closures and delays update for the week of Nov. 26:
City Operations:
Monday, November 26 thru November 30 -The following traffic disruptions will take place:
Monday, November 26 thru November 30 – Starting at 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., alley south of SW Evergreen Ave between SW 6 th St and SW 7 th Street
The alley south of SW Evergreen Ave between SW 6 th St and SW 7 th St will be closed to thru traffic while SunWest Builders performs construction activities for the New Redmond Hotel. Traffic disruptions may occur.
Wednesday, November 28 – Starting at 7:30 a.m., W Deschutes Ave from SW 5 th St to SW 6 th St
W Deschutes Ave will be closed to thru traffic from SW 5 th St to SW 6 th St for tree removal. Please use detour or alternate route.
Friday, November 30 – Starting at 7:30 a.m., S Canal Blvd from SW Pumice Ave to SW Obsidian Ave, SW Obsidian Ave from SW 15 th St to S Canal Blvd, SW 15 th St from SW Metolius Ave to SW Obsidian Ave
S Canal Blvd, SW Obsidian Ave, and SW 15 th St around Obsidian Middle School will be closed while the Redmond Police Department hosts a mass casualty training on Friday, November 30. Please use an alternate route.
NOTE – During street maintenance operations, closure durations and disruptions are determined by progress of the operation and weather conditions.
*** NEW Closure:
NW Spruce Ave from NW 22 nd St to NW 19 th St – Closed for construction Wednesday, November 28 thru Sunday, March 31, 2019
NW Spruce Ave from NW 22 nd St to NW 19 th St will be closed while Jack Robinson & Sons constructs the City of Redmond’s Far Wester Sewer Interceptor project. Please use detours or an alternate route.
Ongoing Closures:
Intersection of NW 15 th St and NW Upas Ave – Closed for construction Monday, November 19 th thru Tuesday, December 4
The intersection of NW Upas Ave and NW 15 th St will be closed while Mckernan Enterprises installs a sewer main and manhole. Local access for residents will be permitted.
South Canal Improvement Project
Scheduled Activities for the week of November 26 thru November 30:
SW Veterans Way to SW Obsidian Ave
South Canal Blvd from SW Veterans Way to SW Obsidian Ave will remain closed for construction activities. Please use detours or an alternate route.
SW Obsidian Ave to SW Pumice Ave
South Canal Blvd from SW Obsidian Ave to SW Pumice Ave is open to thru traffic. This section will be closed on Friday, November 30 from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. to allow for a police training exercise at Obsidian Middle School. Please use detours or an alternate route.
SW Pumice Ave to SW Salmon Ave
SW Pumice Ave to SW Salmon Ave will remain closed for construction activities. Local residents and businesses will have access. Please use detours or an alternate route.
The improvement project completion date is set for April 2019. Sections of South Canal Blvd will be closed temporarily during construction, but local access to area homes and businesses will remain open. Weekly project updates can be found online at https://www.southcanalblvd.org/.
