Redmond’s Jericho Road receives $7,000 grant

The Cow Creek Umpqua Indian Reservation Foundation has recently announced a grant award to J ericho Road of Redmond in the amount of $7,000. The money will be used for the organization’s programs helping those in need in the Redmond area.

Jericho Road maintains four critical support programs, including hot meals six nights a week, a weekend food backpack program with the Redmond School District , a Housing Assistance program which includes rental and utility support, and an Emergency Help system providing heaters, tents and other items.

According to Bob Troutman, chairman of the Jericho Road Board, “This support will make a great difference going into the winter months in helping to feed and care for our friends and neighbors who continue to struggle here in Central Oregon . The Cow Creek Foundation assistance comes at a critical time of the year. Their generosity is most appreciated.”
