Local Alert Weather – Tues. PM
Happy Tuesday evening, everyone!
Winds will calm overnight as we head into our Wednesday. We’ve seen a very wet, windy day and will see quite the opposite tomorrow. Shower chances will dwindle tonight as well, but we could see a few light showers between now and midnight.
Roads will become slick overnight from the showers we’ve had as temperatures drop into the upper 20s and lower 30s. Overnight lows are about 10 degrees above average. We’ll stay dry tonight, but cool. Partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies will be overhead.
Wednesday will be dry and mild with temperatures in the upper 40s and lower 50s. Winds will be much lighter than Tuesday’s gusting 15 miles per hour out of the southeast. Partly cloudy skies will give way to mostly cloudy skies for the afternoon.
The next system pushes in throughout the day Thursday. Winds will pick up gusting 25 to 30 miles per hour. Snow levels will start around 6,200′ Thursday then falling to 4,100′ by the end of the day. Snow showers are expected for the ski areas and mountains with rain showers for Central Oregon. Snow showers could be possible above 4,100′ Thursday. Highs will be in the upper 40s and lower 50s.
Cooler air slides in for the last few hours of Fall and first few hours of Winter! Temperatures will get closer to average in the lower 40s. Winter begins at 2:23 p.m. PST on Friday.
We’re looking to stay dry through Sunday. Our shower chances will pick back up and linger into Christmas Eve. Christmas Day is looking dry.
