100+ Women Who Care give to Treehouse Therapies
The group 100+ Women Who Care of Central Oregon donated $21,200 from their members earlier this month to Treehouse Therapies as their fourth-quarter donation.
Funds donated by members for 100+ Women Who Care will go toward mental health programs, specifically expanding and converting a current garage space at their Healing Reins clinic, located at 60575 Billadeau Road in Bend, into two mental health treatment rooms, enabling them to offer additional services.
“The vast majority of families in our community who are affected by disability are not getting the mental health services they need ,” said Christen Eby, executive director for Treehouse Therapies. ” We are so grateful for this donation that will allow us to add mental health services to our therapy programs as early as this March.”
About the Treehouse Therapies: Since 2013, Treehouse Therapies, a non-profit pediatric therapy clinic, has been able to positively impact children with special needs and their families throughout C.O. by providing compassionate, comprehensive and affordable therapy programs regardless of their ability to pay. Over the last four years, Treehouse Therapies has provided hundreds of children with physical, occupational, and speech therapy services. Treehouse has given more than $150,000 worth of free care to children in need of therapy. Currently, approximately 150 children on their waiting list.
About 100+Women Who Care of Central Oregon: member-based grass roots organization of women who meet quarterly to make a difference in C.O. though collective $100 donation to the voted upon nonprofit. Since its founding in 2014, the organization has raised more than $420,000 for local non-profits in Central Oregon. Past recipients include: Beulah’s Place, Community Shower Truck, Family Access Network, Bethlehem Inn, Oregon Adaptive Sports, Camp Tamarack, Abilitree, and others.
