Local Alert Weather – Wed. PM

KTVZ

Happy Wednesday evening, everyone!

An AIR STAGNATION ADVISORY is still in effect through Thursday at noon. We’re still seeing poor air quality levels from time to time due to high pressure, calm winds, and pollutants combining to give us these conditions.

Overnight expect some areas of fog up towards the north, mainly through low lying elevations. Apart from that we will see mostly clear skies overhead. Temperatures will be into the low to mid 50s. Average daytime highs are in the mid 40s for this time of year. Winds will be light out of the south.

Clouds will increase as high pressure breaks down. Friday morning will start with clouds and temperatures in the lwo to mid 30s. We’ll see a chance for showers out from the west by the second half of the day Friday. Daytime highs will be cooler in the mid to upper 40s.

Showers will linger into Saturday as snow levels begin to fall throughout the weekend. The mountains will see about a foot and a half of snow by the end of the weekend. Saturday will see a good chance for rain showers throughout the day. Highs will be in the mid to upper 40s.

Into Sunday snow levels will fall as will our temperatures. Snow levels start around 3,400′ so many of us could wake up to some snow Sunday morning. Temperatures will peak in the upper 30s and lower 40s.

Daytime highs will struggle to get out of the 30s for the beginning of next week. We could be left with some lingering snow showers Monday as well.
