KTVZ

Happy Monday evening, everyone!

A WINTER STORM WARNING and WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY are in place for the High Desert as we look to receive another 1-3″ of snow overnight heading into Tuesday. Roads will be snow covered and icy, so take your time while out driving.

Overnight lows will be in the teens and 20s after having a below average day. We’ll see snow showers pickup around midnight and will be continuous through tomorrow morning. Winds will be out of the northwest around 5 miles per hour.

Tomorrow morning starts with some lingering snow showers, but we see decreasing shower activity throughout the day. Highs will be cold in the upper 20s and lower 30s. Winter has returned! We’ll see some sunbreaks in the afternoon, but should still expect snowy roads and slippery surfaces. Winds will gust around 15 miles per hour out of the northwest.

Heading into Wednesday we’ll see our sunniest conditions of the week. Partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies will be overhead. Daytime highs will still be cold in the upper 20s and lower 30s.

Clouds increase for Thursday with highs slightly warmer in the low to mid 30s. We’ll see a slight chance for snow showers becoming a good chance for snow showers by Friday.

Cooler temperatures meet us for the weekend with highs in the upper 20s. Saturday will see some snow showers to begin the day as of now.

Make sure you’re checking our SNOW REPORT page for the latest on the mountain passes and ski areas.
