Happy Monday evening, everyone!
A WINTER STORM WARNING remains in effect for the Sisters, La Pine, and Sunriver areas through early tomorrow morning.
Winds will be gusty tonight out of the south as a cold front approaches. Gusts will top about 25 to 30 miles per hour. We’ll be mainly dry overnight before showers arrive. Overnight lows will be mild in the low to mid 30s. Snow levels will be around 2,900′ this evening.
Snow shower chances develop by the morning for Central Oregon. We’ll start dry and see showers roll in by the late morning and stay with us until Wednesday morning. Accumulations will be about 1-3″ by Wednesday morning. Temperatures will be int he upper 30s and lower 40s for Tuesday.
Overnight into Wednesday we’ll see snow showers. During this time the Cascades will pick up nearly two feet of fresh snow. Expect winter driving conditions across our region by late Tuesday night.
Shower chances linger into Thursday before dwindling by Friday. Snow or spots of ice will be on the roads and surfaces. Temperatures cool as we head into the weekend.
