Prineville PD report seat belt enforcement blitz results

During the Feb. 4-17 statewide seat belt enforcement blitz, the Prineville Police Department conducted 32 traffic stops, and one assist on a traffic crash on N Main Street.

Officers gave 17 warnings for speeding, two warnings for child safety seat violations, two warnings for adult seat belt violations, five warnings for equipment violations and six warnings for other traffic violations.

This enhanced enforcement is provided through overtime funding from the Oregon Department of Transportation and the USDOT’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

The Prineville Police Department encourage everyone to wear their seatbelt even for short distances and to drive safely!
