Good Monday Morning, Everyone…
Culver Schools: Buses are on snow routes.
A break between storm systems today will not, unfortunately, mean that we warm up at all. Skies will stay mostly clear after some morning patchy, freezing fog dissipates, but highs will only reach the low to mid 20’s. Northerly breezes will be gentle at 5-10 mph. Skies will be partly cloudy tonight and we will be cold again. Lows will range from single digits to low teens. Winds will calm after midnight.
Cold Arctic air will keep us cold for the next couple of days. Daytime highs will be in the 20’s and overnight lows will be in the single digits and teens. The next winter storm will begin to press into the region Tuesday night. It won’t be as strong as the last storms, but it will be responsible for snow showers that carry through Wednesday, Thursday and a bit into Friday. We will see only a slight chance of some mixed showers over the coming weekend. It is somewhat difficult to talk about a warming trend heading our way when daytime highs stay so cold, but we will see temps rising above freezing as early as Thursday. Highs will be in the upper 30’s this weekend, but keep in mind that our average daytime high for this date is 51 degrees. Despite the warm up, we can plan on staying pretty chilly for the next several days.
