Happy Wednesday evening, everyone!
A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY expires at 10 PM tonight as a cold front moves through and breaks up our remaining showers. Snow levels will fall throughout the next 24 hours: 1,700′ tonight, 1,200′ Thursday morning, and 400′ Thursday night. Roads will become icy once again tonight after the melting we saw during the day.
Overnight expect a slight chance for mixed showers, but mainly dry conditions and partly cloudy skies are expected. Lows will be in the teens for most of the High Desert. Drive slowly as roads will be slick.
Thursday morning begins with partly cloudy skies and a little sunshine, but cold temperatures. Thursday carries a slighttt chance for some snow flurries drifting east of the Cascades, but we can expect partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies apart from that chance. Daytime highs will be back into the mid to upper 30s, so we’ll see some melting across the area again.
Overnight into Friday temperatures return to the teens, so again expect icy roads. Friday sees highs in the low to mid 30s with mostly cloudy skies.
Snow will likely stick around for several days, but look for the snow on roofs and on top of structures to become heavy. Highs will be just warm enough to melt the snow, but lows will be in the teens which will cause another freeze.
