Redmond Proficiency Academy adds 2 days to calendar

KTVZ

The Redmond Proficiency Academy announced Monday that the public charter school will be adding two days to its school calendar to increase instructional hours and opportunities for students. RPA, like many Central Oregon schools, lost four days of instruction in early March due to weather-related school closures caused by a historic snowstorm.

In an effort to increase instructional hours for students and to ensure all students have ample opportunities to demonstrate proficiency in their learning, RPA will be extending the school year through Friday, June 14.

RPA Middle School students are now scheduled to attend a full day of classes on Thursday, June 13 and on Friday, June 14. Previously, the final day of the school year was Wednesday, June 12.

RPA High School students are now scheduled to attend June Term through Friday, June 14. Previously, June Term was scheduled to conclude on Wednesday, June 12. More details regarding June Term will be provided to students, parents, and families in April and May.
