Local Alert Weather, Tue. AM, 3-12-19
Good Tuesday Morning, Everyone…
A strong flow from the west and SW will deliver heavy rain to the valley and snow to the cascades while Central Oregon will see wind driven mixed showers through the afternoon and evening. Highs will be in the mid 40’s and gusty southerly winds will pick up to 10-15 mph. Gusty winds pick up to 10-20 mph and turn westerly tonight. Skies turn partly cloudy and overnight lows will drop into the 20’s.
Following this wintry push we can expect milder conditions to settle in for the next several days. Look for sunny to mostly sunny skies to stay with us for the rest of the work week and through the weekend ahead. Highs will be in the mid 40’s until Sunday when we push into the low 50’s. While this will get us back to something a little more normal for this time of year, normal includes overnight lows in the mid to upper 20’s. Expect daytime thawing to refreeze overnight.
