Local Alert Weather – Fri. PM

KTVZ

Happy Friday evening, everyone!

A cold front is moving through the region tonight, so we are seeing some scattered showers ahead of the front. We’ll see the chance for rain showers continue into tomorrow morning. Tonight expect winds to gust around 15 to 20 miles per hour. Temperatures will fall into the upper 20s and lower 30s for overnight lows tomorrow morning, which is slightly around average.

Saturday begins with mostly cloudy to overcast skies and drizzly conditions. We’ll see the chance for rain showers extend through Saturday, but we can expect mainly dry conditions as well. Temperatures will be slightly cooler behind the passing cold front where we top out in the mid to upper 40s . Winds will be blustery as the cold front exits the region.

Overnight into Sunday we’ll see mostly clear skies, so mostly sunny skies are on tap for Sunday. Highs will be in the low to mid 50s . Enjoy the sunshine and dry conditions while they last because the next system rolls in by Monday.

The beginning of next week sees cooler daytime highs in the upper 40s and lower 50s . We’ll see the chance for rain showers to develop Monday and we carry that chance for showers throughout the week.

Have a happy & safe first weekend of spring!
