Local Alert Weather – Wed. PM

KTVZ

Happy Wednesday evening, everyone!

A warm front lifting off towards the north will carry the heavier showers with it, but behind the front we still have a chance for showers. Some instability behind the front gave us the thunderstorms this afternoon, and we have a chance tonight, too. Overnight clouds will gradually decrease, so we’ll start the day with partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies. Low temperatures will be in the upper 20s and lower 30s .

Thursday will see another mixed bag of weather with some sun in the morning, increasing clouds, and then a chance for showers along with thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs will reach the upper 40s and lower 50s . Winds will still be blustery around 10 to 15 miles per hour.

Overnight into Friday we’ll see a slight chance for showers with mostly cloudy skies. By Friday, we’re looking mainly dry, but showers will be in the higher elevations and mountains. Friday sees mostly cloudy skies with a slight chance for showers and daytime highs in the upper 40s and lower 50s .

This weekend will bring us a bit of blue sky action for Saturday. Highs will be more mild and slightly above average in the mid to upper 50s . Sunday sees increasing clouds ahead of the next system pushing into the region. We’ll also see our warmest day on the extended forecast with highs in the upper 50s and lower 60s .

Showers will kick us off to begin the week and we carry that chance through midweek. Highs will be in the low to mid 50s .
