Local Alert Weather – Tues. PM

KTVZ

Happy Tuesday evening, everyone!

Tonight rain showers will taper off for the most part and we’ll be looking at mostly cloudy skies. Overnight we have a chance for rain showers, but not a very good chance. Temperatures will be mild in the mid to upper 30s, which is about 10 degrees above average. Winds will turn out of the southwest tonight.

Tomororw starts with mostly cloudy skies and a few light showers. Wednesday will be one of the drier days on our extended forecast. Most of the showers will be up in the higher elevations with snow showers left for the highest elevations.

Snow levels begin the day Wednesday around 6,400′, so we’re still seeing mixed showers at the base at Mt. Bachelor. Snow levels will be high enough, however, that the mountain passes will just see rain and wet roads. Snow levels will gradually fall during the overnight into Friday and we’ll see snow levels around 5,700′ Friday morning.

Wednesday sees high temperatures in the mid to upper 50s, which is average for this time of year. Winds will be breezy ahead of the next system gusting 25 miles per hour out of the west.

Thursday will start with rain showers and we’ll see that chance linger all day. Highs will still be mild in the mid to upper 50s. Friday sees more rain showers, but this time a slight cool down with highs in the upper 40s and lower 50s. Winds will be gusty Friday and through the weekend.

Looking ahead to Saturday and Sunday we can expect more gray, wet conditions. Maybe plan some indoor spring cleaning activities? 😉
