Local Alert Weather – Tues. PM

KTVZ

Happy Tuesday evening, everyone!

Gusty winds will stay with us through tonight. Expect winds to top around 40 miles per hour between now and midnight and staying breezy through the morning. Lows will be cold in the 20s and 30s. Overhead we’ll be mainly dry and see partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies.

Wednesday will see another mainly dry day. Showers look to stay in the mountains and higher elevations. Winds will stay breezy gusting around 30 miles per hour. The breeze will be a cold one, so grab a warm jacket. High temperatures only peak in the upper 40s and lower 50s.

Overnight into Thursday we see a chance for showers on the High Desert, but again many will remain in the Cascades. Because of some heavy snowfall expected in the mountains we see a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY in place for the west slopes of the Cascades through Thursday morning. The ski areas should pick up some good snow overnight into Thursday. Mt. Bachelor is looking to see about 6-8″ of snow with snow levels hovering around 4,600′ Thursday morning.

Thursday will bring us our best chance for showers in the morning and the afternoon. Highs will be chilly in the upper 40s and lower 50s. Mostly cloudy skies to overcast will be overhead with breezy conditions again.

By Friday we start to warm and temperatures will be in the low to mid 50s with mostly cloudy skies.
