KTVZ

Gov. Kate Brown on Monday submitted a list of state board and commission appointments to the Oregon Senate for confirmation, including three Central Oregonians named to major agency boards.

The governor named Sisters resident Mark Labhart to the state Fish and Wildlife Commission, Hugh Palcic of Sunriver to the Oregon Liquor Control Commission and Sharon Smith, a Bend lawyer, to the state Transportation Commission.

The Senate Rules Committee is scheduled to consider the nominations on May 8.

“Members of state boards and commissions provide valuable expertise and perspectives that help the state better address challenges and develop policies that help all Oregonians thrive,” Brown said. “I appreciate the willingness of all of these nominees to serve our great state.”

The full list of nominees is available online here.
