Deschutes County Health Services bldg. reopens Monday

KTVZ

Deschutes County Health Services’ main building on Northeast Courtney Drive in Bend will reopen to the public on Monday, two weeks after it closed for air quality testing, officials announced Friday

Initial test results showed intermittent readings of very low carbon monoxide levels in limited areas of the building that were well below established industry workplace safety standards, county officials said.

“After extensive testing and consultation with both an air quality testing firm and mechanical engineer, we’ve determined that the building is safe for occupancy by both staff and clients,” said Lee Randall, the county’s facilities director. “We are also continuing to finalize plans to redesign and replace the building’s heating system.”
