Local Alert Weather, Wed. AM, 5-15-19
Good Wednesday Morning, Everyone…
The rotation around a low pressure center off the Oregon/Washington coast will draw cool, wet air into our region from the south. Rain showers will begin later this morning and intermittent rain will stay with us all day. Highs will stay cool, in the upper 50’s to low 60’s, and southerly breezes will be gentle at 5-10 mph. Isolated rain showers stay with us tonight with lows in the low to mid 40’s. Breezes will remain gentle out of the south.
With systems rolling in back-to-back we can expect to stay in this cool, drizzly pattern for the next several days. We will receive a modest break on Saturday when skies will be mostly cloudy and highs will reach the mid 60’s. The next system will push in Saturday night and make for a rainy day Sunday. Another short break Monday will be followed by heavier rain Tuesday. Temperatures during all of this are expected to remain below normal. Snow estimates for mt. Bachelor prior to the pole pedal paddle competition this weekend have been reduced. As freezing levels rise a bit, more rain is expected in the Cascades.
