Local Alert Weather – Wed. PM

KTVZ

Happy Wednesday evening, everyone!

Tonight winds will stay breezy out of the south as a trough moves east. We’ll see winds calming through the overnight, but will be sustained out of the south around 10 miles per hour. Mainly dry conditions are ahead for the evening; however, we have a chance for a few light, passing showers. Low temperatures will be mild in the upper 30s and low to mid 40s.

Thursday brings a mixed bag with mainly dry conditions during the day, a chance for showers in the afternoon, breezy winds, and a slight chance for thunderstorms mainly to the north. We’ll see highs peaking in the low to mid 60s, which is slightly below average. Winds will gust around 15 to 20 miles per hour.

Overnight into Friday we’ll see a few showers pass through with some snow in the mountains. Snow levels fall from 6,500′ Thursday to 5,500′ Friday morning. Temperatures for Friday will be cooler in the mid to upper 50s with gusty winds in the afternoon around 25 to 30 miles per hour.

The Pole Pedal Paddle on Saturday looks to be mainly dry. As of now shower activity will pick up in the early afternoon, so finishers down in the Old Mill could see some light rain, but I think a majority of the race will be dry.

Temperatures this weekend will be in the low to mid 60s Saturday with a cool down for Sunday. Expect a wet day Sunday with off and on showers next week.
