Local Alert Weather, Mon. AM, 5-27-19

KTVZ

Good Monday Morning, Everyone…

A fairly weak system moving to our south and SE will be responsible for rain showers and possible thunderstorms scattered across our region today. Winds on the back side of that system will be out of the north and NW at a brisk 5 -15 mph with gusts to 20 mph . Highs will be in the mid 60’s . We can expect some partial clearing tonight. Under mostly cloudy skies lows will be in the low to mid 40’s with gusty winds turning westerly.

A powerful storm system developing in the Gulf of Alaska will be held at bay by a large cell of high pressure just off the Oregon coast. That cell of high pressure will force the storm into Canada and allow our skies to clear and stay clear over the next several days. Daytime highs will warm into the mid to upper 70’s and overnight lows will be scattered through the 40’s . Next weekend promises to be sunny with highs also in the 70’s .
