Local Alert Weather – Mon. PM

KTVZ

Happy Monday evening, everyone!

Instability tonight has given us a few thunderstorms across Central Oregon. We’ll look to see that chance extending through sunset tonight. Overnight we’ll see drying conditions as our clouds break up. Temperatures will dip into the upper 30s and low to mid 40s for overnight lows, which is slightly above average.

By tomorrow morning we wake up to partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies. We’ll look to see more sunshine tomorrow, but another chance for afternoon and evening thunderstorms as moisture lingers east of the Cascades. Winds will gust around 10 to 15 miles per hour out of the northwest. Daytime highs will be noticeably warmer in the low to mid 70s.

Wednesday begins the calming period as moisture moves even farther east giving us less of a chance of seeing thunderstorms. We’ll see mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies with highs into the mid 70s. Our average daytime high at the airport in Redmond is 71 degrees.

Through the end of the week and weekend we’ll see warmer daytime highs in the mid to uppee 70s and lower 80s. Mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies are expected. Winds will pick up on Sunday.
