Good Tuesday Morning, Everyone…
High pressure will continue to dominate our weather picture today, so we can expect another sunny, warm day across all of Central Oregon! Highs will be in the upper 70’s to low 80’s and NW breezes will pick up to 5 -15 mph . Those breezes will become light and variable this evening, and they will stay like that through the night. Skies will stay clear tonight and lows will range from the mid 30’s to the mid 40’s .
A low pressure center in the Gulf of Alaska will slip closer to the Pacific NW Tuesday. That will bring a few scattered clouds and a modest shift in the airflow, but we will stay warm. Highs will once again be in the upper 70’s to lows 80’s . That low pressure center will move into southern British Columbia Thursday. That will draw cooler air in the NW and we will see a significant drop in our daytime highs. Highs will only reach the low 60’s and thickening clouds will deliver a chance of scattered, late-day showers. We will see some partial clearing Thursday night as lows dip into the 30’s . Friday will see a 40% chance of showers along with highs in the 50’s . Most will see Friday night lows in the low to mid 30’s . Upper elevations like La Pine, Gilchrist, Crescent and Chemult will likely be dropping below freezing. Make plans to protect sensitive plants and animals. We will see some clearing Saturday with highs getting back into the low to mid 60’s . Sunday will be sunny and warm, with highs in the mid 70’s . By Monday we will be back to the upper 70’s and low 80’s with plenty of sunshine.
