Saving Grace welcomes new executive director

Saving Grace welcomes Cassi MacQueen as their new executive director, who will assume the position on Monday, July 1, at the start of the nonprofit organization’s new fiscal year. Saving Grace was established in 1977 and provides comprehensive services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.

MacQueen is a native Texan who grew up working with at-risk youth in some of the most impoverished areas of North Texas. Her career has included leadership positions at non-profit organizations across the country including Director of Outreach & Education at Chamberlain Performing Arts, Director of Development at Boys & Girls Clubs of Portland, and Chief Operating Officer of the Cascades & Alaska Regions at the American Red Cross.

” Cassi is a welcome addition to Saving Grace, as she brings a wealth of nonprofit leadership experience to our team,” said Interim Executive Director Trish Meyer. “The timing could not have been better, as we have a healthy foundation ready to strategically grow services and programs that best serve our clients.” Meyer has served as interim director since January 2018 and will continue with the organization in her previous role as assistant director.

“I am honored to join the dedicated team at Saving Grace,” MacQueen said, “and work with such a caring group of professionals to advance this critical mission in Central Oregon.”

Saving Grace invites the community to meet MacQueen at a casual meet and greet on Wednesday, July 10 from 5-6:30 p.m. at Bend Brewing Company, in their outdoor area by the river.
