ODOT Region 4 construction update: Week of July 1

Here’s the ODOT Region 4 weekly construction update for the week of July 1:

The Oregon Department of Transportation is committed to providing a safe, efficient transportation system. ODOT invests in Oregon’s future through roadway improvement projects. The following projects are located in ODOT’s Region 4 encompassing Central Oregon from The Dalles to Klamath Falls on the east side of the Cascades.

All work is dependent on weather conditions and schedules are subject to change.

Where traffic is routed through or around a work zone, pedestrians, including those with disabilities, will also be provided alternate routes through the work zone.

Deschutes County

All Roads Transportation Safety (Deschutes County; Various Roads) – The contractor will be installing delineators during the daytime hours and performing striping operations on South Century Drive at night between the hours of 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. Traffic should expect single lane closures controlled by flaggers with delays of up to 20 minutes.

Jefferson County

US 97: Spanish Hollow Creek and Trout Creek Bridges (The Dalles – California MP 74.9 – 75.18) – Stellar J Corporation has completed this work.

Klamath County

OR 140: Green Springs Intch – K Falls Malin Highway Section (South Klamath Falls Highway MP 0 – MP 5.97) – No work or delay expected on this project this week.

Lake Ewauna Trail: Klamath Ave Spring Street (City of Klamath Falls) – Clean up work, no delay expected.

US 97: Spring Creek Hill – Modoc Point Section (The Dalles – California Highway MP 240.55 – MP 257.77) – No work or delay expected on this project this week.

US 97: Algoma Road – Miller Island Road Project (The Dalles – California Highway MP 265.65 – MP 280.51) – Paving, bridge, and striping work to be expected. Work zone controlled with flagging and pilot car, expect delays up to 20 minutes.

FFO-US 97: Passing Lanes Project (The Dalles – California Highway MP 180.06 – MP 212.13) – Currently no work on this project, project work expected to start in July.

OR 140: OR 39 Junction – Olene (Klamath Falls – Lakeview Highway MP 5.6 – MP 9.3) – Striping and cleanup work. Work Zone controlled by flagging and pilot car, expect 20 minute delays.

Marion County

OR 22: Tumble Creek Bridge (North Santiam MP 47.57 – MP 47.77) – Project is completed.

Sherman County

US 97: Shaniko – Trout Creek Bridge Sec. (The Dalles – California Highway MP 56.72 – 74.90) – The contractor will be performing asphalt paving operations nightly, Sunday night through Friday morning between the hours of 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. One lane of traffic will be closed using flaggers. Traffic should expect delays of up to 20 minutes.

US 97: Shaniko – Trout Creek Culvert Removal (Sherman Highway MP 57 – MP 75) – The contractor will be paving and grinding US 97 using single lane closures controlled with flaggers and pilot vehicles. Expect minimal delays.

Wasco County

I-84: Traffic Barrier Upgrade Project (Columbia River Highway MP 64 – MP 151.5) – All work on this project has been completed until August 1st and at that time the contractor will return and install bridge screening at the required locations. All traffic control devices and equipment have been removed from the roadway.

I-84: Swanson Canyon – Arlington (Columbia River Highway MP 125.5 – MP 137.78) – I-84 will be in a crossover configuration until July 3rd with single lane traffic opposing one another in the westbound lanes with a posted speed of 45 mph between MP 125.50 and MP 138. eastbound and westbound single lane closures intermittently prior to that to facilitate crossover construction. After July 3rd the interstate will be returned to its original configuration.

US 26: MP 99 – Kahneeta Junction (Warm Springs MP 91.12 – 103.09) – The contractor will be performing miscellaneous cleanup on the project. No impacts to traffic are expected.

Various

Region 4 ITS (Various) – No work is scheduled for this week.
