River Summit Drive reopen from Sunriver to Mt. Bachelor after snow impacted traffic

UPDATE: Deschutes County officials tell NewsChannel 21 that River Summit Drive from Sunriver to Mount Bachelor has reopened.

BEND, Ore (KTVZ) -- Deschutes County officials report that 45 Road (River Summit Drive) from Sunriver to Mount Bachelor is currently closed to all traffic due to heavy snow and several issues involving vehicles.

In a Facebook post, officials wrote, "Deschutes County Road crews are working hard to clear the snow and expect to reopen the road sometime this afternoon."

Drivers are advised to use alternate routes and to be aware of the winter weather conditions.
