Redmond is about to welcome its all-new library.

The Deschutes Public Library is excited to announce that the much-anticipated new Redmond Library will officially open its doors to the public on Monday, January 27. To kick off the opening, the library will operate with limited hours: Monday–Thursday from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Friday–Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

What You Need to Know:

Temporary Closure: The Redmond Library will be closed from NOW through late January for the transition to the new building. During this time, customers are asked to hold off on returning materials to the Redmond location, or to return them to any other Deschutes Public Library branch.

No late fees will be applied during the closure.

Holds Information: The Redmond Library will not be a pick-up location for new holds placed after December 10. For holds placed before this date, items that become available before December 21 can be picked up at the temporary Redmond Library. After that, patrons can still place holds for pick-up at other library locations, and digital resources like eBooks and audiobooks will remain available.

Holds Resumption: Once the new Redmond Library opens in late January, patrons can begin picking up their holds there. If you have an item on hold when the temporary library closes, it will be available for pick-up at the new location starting on January 27.

The new Redmond Library promises to be a state-of-the-art community hub, offering expanded resources, space, and services for local residents. For more information about library services and updates, visit Deschutes Public Library website.
