Redmond Police Department Finds Missing Person’s Body in Redmond Area

REDMOND, Ore. (KTVZ) – A coordinated search by the Redmond Police Department (RPD) and the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) located the body of Malecai Sloan-Ramsey, who had been missing since January 23, 2025.

On March 5, 2025, search teams found Sloan-Ramsey’s remains near Buckhorn Road and Highway 126, just outside of Redmond.

The Deschutes County Sheriff's Office is leading the investigation into the death, though officials say there is no threat to the public.

RPD thanked the community for its social media tips and acknowledged the efforts of DCSO and Deschutes County Search and Rescue in the search.
