BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- On Saturday, a wave of "Hands Off" protests took place across the country, with over 1,200 events, including several in Central Oregon.

These demonstrations, including rallies in Bend, Prineville, and Sisters, were aimed at opposing President Donald Trump's border enforcement and deportation policies, as well as mass firings under the Department of Government Efficiency and most recently, President Trump's new tariff policies.

Protesters across the nation took to the streets, expressing frustration with the administration's policies and the influence of billionaire advisor Elon Musk.

Organizers of the events stated that these policies have created unnecessary crises.

The rallies highlighted concerns over the growing power of the wealthy and their impact on government decision-making, calling for a return to more equitable policies.
