Alzheimer's Awareness Month: Alzheimer's Association.

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) — June is Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, and the Alzheimer’s Association is reminding the public that help is just a phone call away.

Kaitlyn Bertholet with the Association says their mission is rooted in both care and research, offering free programs, education, and a 24/7 helpline at 1-800-272-3900.

Bertholet, who lost both grandmothers to dementia, says she’s passionate about making sure families know they’re not alone. “We’re here to walk alongside them in their journey,” she said.

More than 7 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s, and nearly 12 million are providing unpaid care.
