Semi-truck driver cited after taking a right turn and hitting a woman on her e-bike

The woman was taken to St.Charles with minor injuries.

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) — Bend Police say a woman riding her bike on Greenwood Avenue suffered minor injuries Tuesday after being struck by a semi-truck. The driver, who was operating the truck without a load at the time, was cited after turning right into the Pacific Pride Gas Station and colliding with the cyclist in the bike lane.

The crash happened around 2 p.m. on September 4. KTVZ News learned of the incident after a viewer reached out, concerned about the e-biker’s condition. Bend Police spokeswoman Sheila Miller said the woman was taken to St. Charles with minor injuries.
