Form Pilates opening in December at Discovery Corner
BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- A new Pilates studio, Form Pilates, is scheduled to open in December at Discovery Corner in Discovery West. The studio will be located at 1216 NW Skyline Ranch Road, suite 100, next to Harper House Design.
The space is owned and operated by Rachel Day, who has taught Pilates for 11 years and previously owned a studio in Salt Lake City. Day and her husband moved to Bend in 2022 to enjoy the mountain town lifestyle and have since settled in west Bend.
Form Pilates will offer private and duet sessions as well as small, personalized classes with a cap of five students. The studio will include five reformers with towers—equipment that allows a broader range of exercises and apparatuses than most local studios currently provide.
Day said she has long admired the Discovery West community and had her eye on the new Discovery Corner suites early on. She said the location felt like a natural fit for expanding her business in Bend and hopes to share her Pilates expertise with the local community.
With advanced certifications and a background in post-surgical rehabilitation, Day said she prioritizes teaching clients how to move with intention through hands-on instruction and correction. Her training focuses on strength, mobility, and longevity—helping Bend’s active residents maintain power, endurance, and flexibility.
Romy Mortensen, vice president of marketing and sales for Discovery West, said Form Pilates will be a welcome addition to the Discovery Corner businesses and the neighborhood. She added that the timing of the opening aligns well with the winter season, when residents often focus on preparing their bodies for outdoor sports.
