Runaway goat wrangled by officer, search for owner underway

(Update: Added Video)

PRINEVILLE, Ore. (KTVZ) — Prineville police found themselves handling an unusual call this week after officers wrangled not one, but two runaway goats on the loose in town.

In a social media post, the department joked “Who you gonna call?! GOATBUSTERS,” noting that Officer Bottoms handled the first escapee “like a pro,” and School Resource Officer Dunn rounded up a second “hoofed hooligan” on Thursday.

Police said the “runaway ruckus is over,” but the goat’s owner has not been identified. The department added that with another loose goat, they might be “one runaway goat away from needing a full-time farm unit.”

Anyone who recognizes the goat or knows its owner is asked to contact the Prineville Police Department.
