Former Prineville nursing home employee arrested for allegedly stealing client funds

PRINEVILLE, Ore. (KTVZ) — Violeta Lima, a former employee of Prineville Regency Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, was arrested on December 4, 2025, for allegedly accessing client accounts without authorization and stealing tens of thousands of dollars.

The Prineville Police Department launched an investigation in June 2025 after facility administrators reported concerns about unauthorized access to client accounts. Detectives identified multiple victims and determined that Lima had stolen significant amounts of money during her employment.

Lima, 39, from Madras, was charged with Criminal Mistreatment I, Aggravated Theft I, Theft I, and Forgery I. She is currently lodged at the Crook County Jail pending further court proceedings.
