State trooper, suspect dead after active shooter situation at Delaware DMV
WILMINGTON (WCAU) -- After an active shooter situation was reported at a DMV in Wilmington, Delaware, officials said a trooper is dead, as well as a suspect.
Delaware State Police shared on social media Tuesday afternoon that an incident was unfolding at a DMV on Hessler Boulevard in Wilmington.
One Delaware State Trooper has been confirmed killed during this incident. We are continuing to assess additional injuries. Please avoid the area. Updates will be provided as information is confirmed.

In an update, Delaware Governor Matt Meyer shared that "law enforcement acted swiftly to secure the scene, and the shooter has been confirmed deceased."
Police said a Delaware State Trooper was also killed during this incident.
