Inconvenient Weather Impacting Operations at Hoodoo Ski and Recreation Area, Three Ski Lifts Flooded

Hoodoo Ski and Recreation Area is temporarily closed following significant rainstorms and massive flooding that have left three ski lifts underwater.
The resort announced the closure on its Facebook page after heavy storms moved through the area over the last couple of days. The facility will remain closed until floodwaters subside and snow levels increase on the mountain runs.

Management noted that the weather has been difficult for much of the winter season. "Sadly, the weather has not been cooperative this year at all and definitely not this week," the resort stated in its social media post. Officials described the recent weather events as "giant rain storms and massive flooding."
Officials pointed out that the three submerged lifts can be seen by viewing the resort's live webcams.
In addition to the water subsiding, the resort requires a significant increase in snowpack to resume operations. Hoodoo will remain closed until snow levels build back up on the runs to ensure safe conditions for skiers and snowboarders.
