BREAKING NEWS: Sarah Session Found Guilty in Mistreatment of Stepson

BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) -- On Thursday, Sarah Session was found guilty on several charges concerning a 2025 case involving her stepson.

Sarah Session was initially charged with second-degree attempted murder, assault and criminal mistreatment of her stepson. On January 21st, 2026 Judge Emerson dismissed the attempted murder charge as well as first degree assault charge due to insufficient evidence to sustain prosecution.

Session faced two counts of assault in the second degree, five counts of assault in the third degree, eight counts of criminal mistreatment in the first degree, and two counts of coercion.

Session's parents, Gary and Paula Hardenburg, were found guilty on several counts brought forward to the court tied to the child's treatment.

A sentencing date has been set for March 31st at 3:00 pm.
