Over 100 bottles of wine up for grabs at Rotary Club of Greater Bend’s Wine Raffle

DESCHUTES COUNTY, Ore. (KTVZ) — The Rotary Club of Greater Bend will hold its annual Wine Raffle on March 13, 2026, at Aspen Hall in Bend. The event serves as a primary fundraiser to support youth activities, scholarships, and community programs through the club's foundation.

The drawing will be held at the annual Charter Night event on March 13, 2026. The event begins at 8 p.m. at Aspen Hall, located at 18920 NW Shevlin Park Road.

The raffle has been a club tradition for more than 20 years and is often referred to as an "instant wine cellar" because the prizes are awarded all at once. Recent versions of the event have netted just under $25,000 for local charitable causes. Every member of the club is responsible for donating a bottle of wine to the drawing each spring.

The raffle prizes feature a grand prize of more than 100 bottles of wine. In addition to the main prize, the club offers eight second prizes, each consisting of a case of wine donated by businesses owned by club members. Sharon Gueck was named the grand prize winner during the 2025 event. Other case winners from the previous year included Bess Goggins, Carol Podwils, Sandy Corbari, Brad Bailey, Keith Otani, Natasha Henderson, Jeanie Dumont and Mark Schang.

The Rotary Club of Greater Bend Foundation was established in 1994 as a 501(c)three organization. It provides financial support for scholarships, international projects and youth activities. The foundation also funds specific community programs such as the Latino Community Association and the J Bar J Anti-Trafficking project. Bre Barrett manages the anti-trafficking project, while Lucia Barragan represents the Latino Community Association as recipients of the club's fundraising efforts.

The Greater Bend club is part of Rotary District 5110, which includes 61 clubs and nearly 3,000 members. The district also supports four Rotaract clubs for members under age 30 and 20 Interact clubs for high school students. Rotary is a global organization of 1.2 million business and professional leaders across more than 160 countries. The organization focuses on humanitarian service and ethical standards, including a long-term campaign for the global eradication of polio.
