It’s PACKED on Mt. Bachelor as people head to the slopes for fresh snow

(Update: adding video from the mountain, more information on snowpack)

MT. BACHELOR, Ore. (KTVZ) — Mt. Bachelor received nearly 12 inches of snow over the last 24 hours as a winter storm continues to bring heavy accumulation to the mountain Thursday. An additional four to six inches of snow is expected throughout the day before conditions clear for the weekend.

The storm has brought deep powder and on-hill temperatures in the teens, accompanied by moderate winds and heavy sustained snowfall. While the stormy conditions offer fresh tracks for mid-week visitors, the snow flurries have created limited visibility across the mountain.

Following the conclusion of lift operations Thursday, the resort is hosting the April Passholder Party at On Tap Bend. Passholders with 2025/26 and 2026/27 Outplay 365, Full Season and Midweek passes are eligible for a free drink while supplies last.

Resort officials recommend checking the mountain report for the latest weather and operations updates throughout the day. On April 3, professional snowboarder Danny Davis will host the Party in the Peace Park under the Pine Marten chairlift.

The event is scheduled from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and is open to all freestyle skiers and snowboarders. Registration is not required to participate in the freestyle session. Davis will distribute up to $3,000 in cash prizes along with merchandise from brands including Burton, Skull Candy, Mountain Dew and Woodward Peace Park.

Following the mountain event, a complimentary BBQ is scheduled for the West Village Deck from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The gathering will include live music, swag giveaways and special Mountain Dew cocktails while supplies last.

Guest visibility may remain limited during snow flurries and resort staff advise visitors to pack appropriate winter gear for the freezing temperatures. Sales are currently open for 2026/27 season passes, which are being offered at the lowest prices of the season.

The resort is offering a Buy Now Ski Now perk for new passholders. This feature allows individuals who purchase a 2026/27 pass to have immediate access to the slopes for the remainder of the 2025/26 season.

Weather conditions are expected to shift Friday into the weekend with clearing skies and sunshine. Further details regarding pass tiers and event schedules are available at the Mt. Bachelor website.
